1. Management Reserve

Definition:
A portion of the project budget or schedule set aside to address unforeseen risks and uncertainties that are not identified during planning.

Simple Meaning:
Extra time or money kept for unexpected problems.

Example:
If a project budget is ₹50 lakh, an additional ₹5 lakh kept for unexpected breakdowns or design changes is the management reserve.


2. Matrix Organization

Definition:
An organizational structure in which team members report to both a functional manager and a project manager.

Simple Meaning:
Employees report to two bosses — one for department work and one for project work.

Example:
