1. Project

Definition:
A temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service, or result.

Simple Meaning:
Limited time ka kaam jiska ek specific result hota hai.

Example:
Bhilai Steel Plant me High Pressure Descaling System installation ek project hai.

2. Project Management

Definition:
Application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to meet project requirements.

Simple Meaning:
Planning, execution aur control karke project ko successful banana.

Example:
Pump installation project ko time, cost aur quality ke andar complete karna.

3. Project Scope

Definition:
The work that must be completed to deliver the project’s deliverables.

Simple Meaning:
Project me kya-kya kaam included hai.

Example:
Scope me foundation, erection, piping, testing included hai but electrical work nahi hai.

4. Project Plan

Definition:
A formal document defining how the project is executed, monitored, and controlled.

Simple Meaning:
Project ka full roadmap.

Example:
Primavera P6 me banaya gaya detailed schedule & resource plan.

5. Project Schedule

Definition:
Timeline showing start and finish dates of project activities.

Simple Meaning:
Kaunsa kaam kab start aur finish hoga.

Example:
Foundation work – 30 days, erection – 20 days, testing – 10 days.

6. Project Budget

Definition:
Estimated cost required to complete the project.

Simple Meaning:
Total paisa jo project ke liye chahiye.

Example:
Descaling pump system installation cost = ₹2.5 crore.

7. Project Manager (PM)

Definition:
Person responsible for planning and executing the project.

Simple Meaning:
Jo project ko lead karta hai.

Example:
Aap (Suraj Das Manikpuri) as Manager-Projects at MACO.

8. Project Charter

Definition:
A document that formally authorizes the project.

Simple Meaning:
Official approval document to start project.

Example:
BSP ne project approval de diya — that is project charter.

9. Project Baseline

Definition:
Approved version of scope, schedule, and cost used for comparison.

Simple Meaning:
Original plan jiske against performance measure hota hai.

Example:
Original schedule 120 days — agar delay hua to baseline se compare karte hain.

10. Procurement

Definition:
Process of purchasing goods and services for the project.

Simple Meaning:
Material aur services kharidna.

Example:
EDM/Laser cutting machine purchase.

11. Procurement Plan

Definition:
Plan that defines what to buy, when, and from whom.

Simple Meaning:
Kya kharidna hai, kab aur kisse.

Example:
Pump, motor, piping, valves procurement schedule.

12. Performance Measurement

Definition:
Evaluating project progress against plan.

Simple Meaning:
Check karna kaam plan ke hisaab se chal raha hai ya nahi.

Example:
Daily progress vs planned progress.

13. PERT (Program Evaluation and Review Technique)

Definition:
A scheduling technique using optimistic, pessimistic, and most likely time estimates.

Simple Meaning:
Time estimate ka scientific method.

Example:
Pump erection ke liye 5–8–12 days estimate.

14. Probability

Definition:
Chance of occurrence of a risk event.

Simple Meaning:
Risk hone ki kitni possibility hai.

Example:

15. Preventive Action

Definition:
Steps taken to avoid potential problems.

Simple Meaning:
Problem hone se pehle hi rokna.

Example:

16. Progress Report

Definition:
Document showing project status.

Simple Meaning:
Kaam ki current report.

Example:
Weekly progress report to BSP client.

17. Project Cost Control

Definition:
Monitoring and managing project expenses.

Simple Meaning:
Budget ke andar kharcha control karna.

Example:
Extra manpower avoid karke cost save karna.

18. Project Risk Management

Definition:
Identifying, analyzing, and responding to project risks.

Simple Meaning:
Risk ko identify karke manage karna.

Example:

19. Project Lifecycle

Simple Meaning:

Example:

Major stage complete hone ka point.

Example:

Simple Meaning:
Jo log project se related hai.

Example:
BSP, MACO, vendor, site team.

24. Planning Phase

25. Productivity
