2. Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS)
Definition:
A hierarchical representation of project team structure and reporting relationships.
Simple Meaning:
Kaun kis ko report karta hai — team structure chart.
Example:

3. Operational Readiness
Definition:
The state when a project or system is ready for actual operation.
Simple Meaning:
System ready hai actual use ke liye.
Example:
Pump installation, alignment, testing complete hone ke baad descaling unit operational readiness achieve karta hai.
4. Opportunity Cost
Definition:
The value of the best alternative that is sacrificed when choosing one option.
Simple Meaning:
Ek option choose karne par dusra jo fayda miss ho gaya.
Example:

7. On-Time Delivery (OTD)
Definition:
Completion or delivery of work as per planned schedule.
Simple Meaning:
Time pe kaam complete karna.
Example:
EDM/laser cutting machine supply vendor ne 12 weeks me deliver ki — that is good OTD.
8. Order of Magnitude Estimate (ROM)
Definition:
A rough cost estimate usually with ±25% to ±50% accuracy used in early stage.
Simple Meaning:
Initial rough budget estimate.
Example:
New descaling pump system ka rough estimate 2–3 crore (ROM stage).
9. Organizational Process Assets (OPA)
Definition:
Company’s existing processes, templates, lessons learned, and data used in projects.

12. Overhead Cost
Definition:
Indirect costs required to run a project but not directly tied to specific tasks.

Indirect kharcha (office, supervision, electricity etc.).
Example:
Site office expense, supervisor salary, electricity — ye sab overhead hai.
13. Optimization

16. On-site Work
Definition:
Work performed at the project location.
Simple Meaning:
Actual project site par hone wala kaam.
Example:

17. Overlapping (Fast Tracking)
Definition:
Performing project activities in parallel to reduce project duration.
Simple Meaning:
Ek saath multiple kaam chalana to save time.
Example:
Foundation curing ke saath-saath structure fabrication start kar dena.
